Flooring
Sand the floorboards using an industrial sander. Move across the grain with coarse sand paper and finish up with fine sand paper moving with the grain. Once finished rub liming wax into the boards to bring out the grain.
Seating
Make triangular and square beanbags and matching cushions from hessian. Sew together and complete them with some dyed pom-pom trim.
Fabric
Cover the sofa in throws, which have been dyed to match the green and orange of the room. Put two different coloured throws on each half of the sofa. Use similar coloured muslin on the windows to provide some privacy.
Office space
Put a desk up against the wall and above it fix a metal grill where hooks, pens and notes can be hung from it.

Walls
Paint the walls dark green and then divide the walls up into panels and paint each panel a different colour. Paint a different picture in the centre of each panel.
Flooring
Sand the floorboards and varnish to protect them. Now turn the existing rug upside down and mark out a thin border round the edge and it paint green. Mask out a thicker border inside and paint this blue using emulsion paints.
Hidden storage
Hide unsightly storage behind colourful curtains. Use lots of different colours for the panels and borders and finally paint on a chosen image in the centre with fabric paints.
Seating
Cover the sofa in a dark green fabric to match the walls and soften the bright colours on the walls.
